Splendid E-zine, cont'd Mike Baker While it seems fair to suggest that many listeners will gravitate towards the Americana qualities of Filaments and declare the group's allegiance to that fashionable genre, it strikes this listener not as a pastoral experience, but rather as the sound of deserted streets at daybreak in the city, the humidity that invades humble living quarters and refuses to escape, and the solitude that protects lovers as they wake each morning.
