Use Credit Cards - Feel Good

We've got our new credit card processing system up and running (thank you AMillionThingsToDo). So feel free to charge it up! It's fun, easy, and helpful in easing the post-election blues.

Credit Card Purchasing

We apologize for the inconvenience, but our on-line credit card sales will be suspended for a few days. With short notice, our credit card processing company decided to call it quits, and we are forced to find another company to take over the Grey Flat on-line credit card sales. Unfortunately, nothing is in place yet. However, mailorder is still an option or you can check Amazon.com for a title. Come back soon and a new on-line credit card option will be in place...we promise.

Artist: Quinimine
Title:
Like Pistons For Engines
Media:
Full-Length CD

Since Quinimine has grown out of the creative milieu of Montreal’s Mile-End area, their wistful, melancholic sound and their subtle yet dynamic journey through symphonic space does not come as a surprise. “Like Pistons For Engines” moves away from the rural, avant-roots aspects showcased on their “Filaments” EP (Grey Flat Records), and delves into a musical exploration of the role and dominance of our changing urban landscape and the architecture that surrounds our lives. Fans of the shared male/female dynamic of bands such as Low, Ida, and L’Altra, will enjoy the organic and hushed fragile nature of Gary Jansz and Alice Cantine’s vocal interplay. Shimmering guitars, elegiac keyboards and strings, and the brushed drum finesse of ex-Sofa (Constellation) drummer Keith Marchand create a natural and atmospheric beauty, reminiscent of a wide screen cinematic moonlit drive. Recorded and mixed by Howard Bilerman, who has worked with acclaimed Constellation artists such as Godspeed You Black Emperor! and A Silver Mt. Zion, this album features layers of interesting orchestrations, affecting melodies, and somber vocals.
